I'm planning to travel around UK in July for 3 weeks, big cities in general. I'm not sure to choose among Britrail Flexipass (with I'd have to buy before going there), trains paid in the moment or buses.

Which is the best cost-benefit one? Thanks.

I'm a Canadian who has been living in Manchester for about 5 years now and I'm wondering if there is some kind of organisations that lets you set up random road trips. There's a lot to see in England but it seems you need a car to see some of them. (70 million people living on a postage stamp and you still need a car?!) Anyway, where I'm from, the spirit of the road trip is that you pile three or more people into a car, split costs filling up the tank and just go somewhere random to see a site. It's successful if people are generally content with whatever they see and just have a good time. I know that a lot of people who have cars would never venture out on a road trip because they wouldn't do it alone. And people like me who don't have one sometimes can't go even if they wanted to. And if there's stuff to see within shooting distance of Manchester... then there MUST be a newsgroup, a bulletin board or something that already does this. Anyone know of what that might be?

Hi everyone! My soon to be husband and I will be taking a trip to England in August. We wanted to visit Stonehenge and the surrounding area, and stay at a bed and breakfast out in the country- which will mean we have to drive! The one thing holding me back from booking this trip is the driving. I'm just not sure if I can do it! Should I worry? We'll be flying in, so we'll be renting a car from the airport. Tell me I'm thinking to much into this??

Going through my email, I discovered I had "WON" a small fortune.

I feel this is a scam attempt, and wondered what to do to follow up.

I would appreciate any helpful advice in this matter.
