We already have road pricing - it's called fuel tax and vehicle excise duty (car tax).

Road pricing isn't so much about charging people to use the roads it's about tracking the movements of every vehicle.

The government claims that road pricing is to reduce traffic, ease congestion, reduce emmissions etc. There is already a mechanism in place for doing this in the form of fuel tax. If the government simply wanted to make more money from tax and cut down on traffic they would put up the price of fuel.

No I don't. We already pay enough road tax which doesn't actually get spent on the roads. I think that if the dirty robbing government want to stop road tax dodgers then they should do away with the tax as it is now and incorporate the price of tax into the price of petrol. It means that fuel will become alot more expensive but it may make the drivers of Chelsea Tractors think a bit more about pollution. I hope this makes sense but I've got all het up now!!!!!!! Ha ha ha
