does anyone go to/ has been to a steam rally? they are shows that usually last for a weekend and exhibitors bring their exhibits and the public pay to come in and see them. the shows are mainly to exhibit steam engines. has anyone heard of them?

The 'Great Dorset Steam Fair' between Salisbury and Blandford Forum, Dorset.
Its on during one of the summer bank holiday weekends.

Often been to the Rudgewick and Parham Rally in Sussex. They are fun and a good day out on a Sunny afternoon, especially if your taking young children as the sounds of cor etc are thrilling. And help to make you remember how you used to feel when My Dad used to do the same.
Also good for picking up some nice bargins from trade stands for garden stuff.

My buddy Graham Burberry does ! She`s a ten ton steam street curler observed as "Katie" she is an Aveling and Porter engine. Graham lives in Warwickshire. many years in the past Katie had an entire rebuild, she began existence as a street curler for Bedford council, i imagine. She become "born" in round 1910.

Brilliant day out! There's a big one in Malpas (Cheshire), usually around 9th September each year. The a smaller one in Carrog (nr Llangollen) the following weekend.

Yes,these are really good and interesting days out,I like the veteran and vintage cars and motor cycles that are always on show at the rallies.
