I've lived in Liverpool all my life and although i love it here i've decided to move away for university next year. I want to go somewhere similar to here, by which i mean quite cultural, busy, good night life etc.

I'm considering London but it's so massive i wouldn't know where to start. I want to study Journalism or Media, and i'm looking for a uni that will accept average grades (but a good one... not a dunce uni!) because i know i'm not gonna leave college with all A's.

Anyway, i'm just really at a loss about where to study. I'm also worried about the cost of living down south, i barely scrape through up here!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

So Americans drink coffee like there's no tomorrow, and it is the stereotype of Britain that they are big on tea, but how popular is coffee (including espresso drinks) in the England?

I really appreciate your honest responses; as an american planning on studying in London, I want to fit in and learn as much about British culture and traditions as possible. Thanks! ;)

Unlike Wales and Scotland, Cornwall was never incorporated into the Union of the U.K. but the BBC refuses to recognise this historical fact. Many teachers are also misinforming their pupils.

Hi,
My friend wants to visit London for a week or so in October but he doesn't know a word of English.
I was wondering if the hotels in Central London have French speaking staff or is it not common? Also do they speak French at Heathrow Airport?

I'm planning a day out in the summer - and I thought, why not Liverpool?? Is there an area in Liverpool where there are some musems, nice restaurants and all in a nice location? For example, where is the Beatle museum?? Thank you

Somebody asking about whether Liverpool was a dangerous place mentioned it and I told him he might've been thinking of the Adelphi.

I don't know how relevant this is, but I go to university up there.
