Unlike Wales and Scotland, Cornwall was never incorporated into the Union of the U.K. but the BBC refuses to recognise this historical fact. Many teachers are also misinforming their pupils.

Some people will never be happy unless they split up the United Kingdom completely. Enough with the Cornish nationalism already. If you want to seperate from the rest of England then go right ahead, as long as you agree to take Prince Charles as he is the true ruler of the Duchy of Cornwall.

Personally I can't be bothered with all this medieval fuedalism and antiquated laws. Only hardened Cornish nationalists care about rubbish like this. To everyone else at large, the English invaded Cornwall in the 9th century and absorbed it into our empire, and just like Gibraltar, we aren't going to give it back, so tough!! :-)

When is a door not a door...when it's ajar.

Who refers to County Cornwall or Cornwall County? I've never heard this myself. Some places are referred to in these terms - County Durham of, even, Durham County springs to mind but there must be others.

You are taking a pop at the media people here, I assume, but in my listening I hear them say The Duchy of Cornwall regular as clockwork...

Also, Cornwall has a County Council which surely speaks volumes for its status within our Union...

Great. does that mean all cornish passports are invalid? All UK money given to the population of Cornwall must be returned along with all the roads, railways and hospitals the rest of the Uk has paid for? The Duchy of Cornwall is part of the Uk, as is the Isle of Mann and all those Scottish Isles with seperate designations. It might not be part of England but it certainly is British.

Im not a nationalist, in fact self determination is one of my beliefs but this is just how it is at the moment.

Nice pasties too!!!!

I don't have a problem with Cornish nationalism, good luck to you

I support nationalism from any of the home nations so long as it helps to contribute to the collapse of this stupid union that the vast majority of people seem to no longer want

I am English NOT British and I have Scots and Welsh friends who are even more passionate about NOT BEING BRITISH!

time to end this silly marriage of no-longer-convieniance and go our seperate ways, retaining strong ties and open borders.

If Cornwall wants to be involved in that and have a degree of autonomy (I doubt they would want full indpendance) I wouldnt be opposed to that myself
