I Fly home from Chicago to Toledo Airport and when I got there it was 11 P.M. .They told us our luggage was left in Chicago..I had my Car Keys in my bag ( I know Dumb but I don't travel all the time). They told me they didn't know what to tell me and I was all on my own ...I had to rent a car and my car had to stay in the lot for another day ...I didn't get home till around 3..Waisted my next day..I had to have car back and I missed another day of work ?American Airlines made me really madd.

I'm interested in traveling outside the US, but my son is only 5. Is he too young to actually appreciate the different cultures?

I am thinking about taking a holiday alone at some point this year to get my head together and just have a bit of me time away from the office. I just wondered if anyone has done the same and have any recommendations on where to go.

I am open to any suggestions, i do prefer beach holidays but could be swayed.

I want to book a honeymoon for June 2008, I want to go anywhere other than Europe, somewhere Hot where we can lay on the beach or at a nice hotel and do nothing! Any Ideas on places? Everywhere I seem to look at the weather will be bad in June.

Cupcakes to Germany? I saw this "cupcake courrier" on the Rachael Ray show, so I was thinking of putting them in that, and FedExing them, (so she'd get them in 2 business days) but I'm worried the box might get turned upside down or tossed around while loading the packaged and the frosting on top will be a mess. Oh - the cupcakes I am shipping are from the famous "Magnolia Bakery" in NYC and they are my friend in Germany's favorite. It's her birthday coming up and I asked her what she wanted and she said: "a dozen chocolate cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery". So, I'm trying to make her birthday wish come true. Magnolia said they don't ship - I'd have to do it myself. Any ideas/suggestions.

I am putting all of my stuff into a POD, and I know that it may get a bit rattled, but I do not know what to wrap things in. I do not have enough old blankets and do not want to buy crazy-priced moving blankets. Is there something else I could wrap my furniture in? I have thought about bubble wrap, but it gets a little pricy too. I am moving this coming saturday so I can not order anything. I live in Vegas. Let me know what you suggest!

I will be an AFS foreign exchange student in July and cant decide between Spain and Chile.
Spain is in Europe and in summer it is really hot, the spanish language originated from there. It is also diverse. It has lots of history and monuments and culture. Chile on the other hand is a famous for its length and being one of the southermost coutries in the world. In chile there is also lots of culture and monuments. there will always be Neruda.
The climate is quite cold but that doesnt matter. I cant decided which country to do study abroad. I have been to Europe 5 times but never once to South America or Central America. Okay maybe 3 times to baja California, Mexico but that it. What do you think?

I am flying from the U.S. to British Columbia in May. I am on crutches because of a broken foot. I'm planning to rent a wheelchair, but I don't know if I should rent it here and take it with me, or try to rent one once I get there? Any advice? I am traveling with my spouse, so I will have help.

I have been to Europe more than 10 times. The sights, the monuments, the museums, all these take our breathe away. But the people in Europe seems to be in a hurry all the time. I am looking for honeymoon ideas for June of 2008. We will be in Southern California so I was thinking of a cruise that leaves directly from there. Neither of us have ever been on a cruise before. We are also considering other options although if we're flying somewhere I'd prefer a flight that isn't too terribly long. We are on a budget. I was hoping to be done with it for $2000 total but I see I may have to increase the budget to get what we want.

I am trying to find a good, small-medium carry-on bag!

What do you use? What works for you?

I think am looking for these qualities:
- not heavy
- shoulder strap-friendly
- 1-2 exterior compartments for wallet, etc
- maybe a bit stiff so I can put my feet on top of it during long train/plane rides
- not padded or complicated (not taking my laptop)

It seems a lot of these bags today are heavy, bulky, wheeled, over-pocketed, padded for laptops or otherwise waaaayyyy too bulky for my needs. Bags have really changed!
