I'm thinking of studying abroad (Rome), and just trying to plan a bit in advance. I'm open to ideas for certain times of year or any suggestions, really. Thank you much!

I'm planning to travel to Europe next year for roughly 2 months (July and August). My flight is from Sydney to London and i'm planning to stay with family in Paris as a sort of "homebase", cost of flight is handled and so is accommodation in Paris, so that saves me a bit.

Hoping to go to England, France(obviously), Italy, Portugal and maybe a short Contiki Tour. I was thinking about taking $12,000 AU (7,500 Euro)

Not planning to live large but hoping to stay at some nice'ish hotels and do some shopping for the family and myself.

Will $12,000 AU (7,500 Euro) get me by or am i dreamin?

Are items such as clothes, electronics and food roughly equivalent to what you pay in other countries?

Planning to get Eurail pass as well

Cheers

I'm working on a project which deals with the Cyprus conflict. Who was the greatest right to "have" this island. What Greeks think of it? I need strong arguments - especially for Greece because I'll have to "negociate" (during my project) some previlages for Greek people out there. I would be grateful for any historical details and modern thoughts about this problem.

Do they start learning a different language when they first go to school then learn a different one in the higher grades? Or do they just pick it up from being near a country that speaks that other language?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to ask some travellers how much money is required to spend entirely on food if staying for 30 days in Bulgaria for a single person (I am going to live in the city of Sofia). Are there any recommendations for relatively cheap restaurants and cafe's in Sofia? Is it true that american dollars are more popular than a national bulgarian currency?

Any help appreciated

I am a 15 year old, Type 1 Diabetic, American male. I plan on moving to Europe (either the U.K. or one of the Scandinavian countries) after high school. I wish to study higher education there.
What do I need to know, in regards to applying for citizenship, college, health care (as I said above, type 1 diabetic, so that's important), and anything else that applies to my standard of living?
I would like a response from either an ex-pat who lives in Europe now, or just an experienced European that knows what they are talking about.
I could care less how you feel about Europe vs. America, blah blah blah. I know Europe is not perfect, but I like it better than America. simple as that.

It only seems fair to me.

Turkey and the Unites States have very strong ties, and have been allies for more than 50 years. The Turkish and Turkish-American people are merely asking for a joint Turkish-Armenian committee of experts to be established to conduct an open and rigorous historical and legal investigation that would include Armenia, Turkey, and other countries opening their archives to the investigators. This joint committee would allow the Turkish and Turkish-American people fair and unbiased representation.

Until that time, Say “NO” to the Armenian Diaspora’s endless manipulation of the American polity by saying "NO" to H.RES.106.

The resolution has been dropped at this time

Recently, all around London, I have noticed there are many people on mopeds and motorbikes, that have maps taped to a pieice of plastic above the handlebars.
They are not pizza delivery people, or seem to be experienced couriers.
Does anyone know what they are doing? Are they training for something?
Are they rubbish spies?
Thanks.
