I would try some of the hostel websites. THey often have cheap hotels as well AND ratings and comments from people .
eg hostelworld.com
hostelbookers.com
hostel.com
You may need to hunt around. Try to get ones that are reasonably central....the further out the more it costs to get there and time taken to get there AND its easier to get to for eating and wandering around....take that into account when looking.
