If you don't know anyone Greek, then try visiting a church where Greeks go.
Secondly come back to this particular category regularly. You might make some friends.
Give it a little time. If you live near a university or college that offers the Greek language that would be good too.
The key here is patience. Learning Greek is not like learning Spanish. It's easy to learn phrases, but learning the language is difficult to say the least.

If you want to meet someone Greek you've got to visit Greece, where the real Macoy is. I'm sorry to say that most Americans of Greek descent is just that: Americans of Greek descent.

I've red some untrue comments about greek men! Amazon, greek men don't look like "pigs" with many hair and so on, they are not at all brutal, they are just meditteranian. I don't know about greeks in USA, but in Greece our men isn't like this.

I agree with kimon. You have to visit Greece because we don't have the same culture with the emigrants anymore. I'm writing from Athens, Greece. It's not their fault, but Greece is moving on and they don't really get to know about it. Naturally I am not speaking about those who are in their 20s or 30s, but for the 1st or the 2nd generation of emigrants. No offense!

go to your nearest Greek Orthodox Church... they have language schools, dance lessons in association with them.

When I was a kid I used to go to Greek school to learn the language and afterward I'd go to dance, and on the weekend to Church service.
