I'm a freshman university student from Ecuador wishing to study in Canada next year. From all the places i've made research, Montreal is the one that really caught my eye. Can anyone tell me how is the living and people from Montreal. Could anyone give me some tips to save money once i'm there?. Feel free to tell me anything you think i should know. Also, how is Concordia University? What opportunities does it give, any tips from current or former students from there.
Any information will be apreciated,

Thanks

I'm about to get my permanent residency visa and am looking forward to settle down in Montreal in Februar 2008 , but my friend who's been living there keeps telling me to put my arrival out to the next summer and according to him , there's no way I find a job and a rent in winter time ( January - April)
Should I believe this and come til next summer or should I just ignore that ******** and come as soon as possible ??

We can see it out a hotel window. It is huge. It has a copper roof and is built of grey stone. It has five large gables. The second and fourth gables each have a cross on them. The first, third and fifth gables each have an oval window under the peak. It looks to be five stories high. The windows on the top floor are in a mansard roof.

I am about to start my freshman year there and I wanted to know if anyone goes there or to mcgill or generally knows about the area.

Btw-a girl had answered my other post about Montreal (which i accidentally ended) and if you see this I wanted to ask you if there is a way I could get in touch with you because I am studying art and if you are going to design school you seem like a good person to talk to.

Anyone else who is not her, your feedback is very much appreciated.

This is my first trip to Canada. I am from the US. I will be renting a car when I land at the Montreal International Airport. I need to visit my company in Joliette, QC. I know the directions and all...I want to know how big of a deal it is to drive...considering the traffic, driving rules (??), and that I will be reaching Montreal at 1240 am.

I am interested in teaching English as a Second Language in Montreal. I am a U.S. citizen, 22 yrs old, with B/A in Spanish and French.

3 questions:
1) Is there any way that I can work in Canada as an ESL teacher without having an ESL teaching degree?

3) Do I need a work visa?

4) Any suggestions of sites online with possible employers?

thanks! :)

I remember a place where they were right next to each other but I forgot where it was. It was also across the street from a movie theatre. If anyone has any info on the name of the place, that would be helpful. If possible, I'd also like to know the prices of the different activities (all 3 of them) and if possible a website I can go to for more info on the place and more details on the prices.
