Where can i find a nice beach, fine white sand, crystal clear water & cheap beach resort accomodation in Thailand , in Phuket or any place in Thailand ? Is thailand beaches safe from thefts? Can we go wearing Thongs (Males) ?

Hi, i'm thinking about going to Thailand with my 14 month old baby and my girlfriend. I love to get a good bargin. My interests are electronics , gadgets, magic and (not so much) clothes. Also Vietnam is high on my list too. Like to see historic military stuff.
Would you take a pram over there? where is the best place to stay or shop? what would avoid? I would appreciate any comments . Thanks .Regards Gav.

For those who go to Thailand and can get their visa stamped at the airport a proof of round trip ticket is needed. My question is will an e-ticket accepted as a proof. I guess this ticket is just a print out from online and not the real ticket. That is why I am concerned.

I am traveling to Thailand in 5 days but need a few tips.

In Thailand if I bought a computer game would it work in Australia?
If I bought a phone would it work in Australia?
Are the clothes there dodgy like ones you get at markets, or are they genuine?
Any tips on what and what not to buy?
