Yes i have been to Thailand and Bangkok. It's a crowded place. So if you are traveling, make sure you are prepared for the busy roads therefore try to leave early. Don't give out money to kids who beg, if you see them, because soon you will be crowded by these kids. Try to hit all the major tourist attractions, because they are very cool to see especially the temples. Use a tut tut to get a round, because you can only ride and find it in Thailand. Get a lonely planet book on Thailand, because it's more useful than anything you will get here at Y Answer.

Thailand just be named " The world’s Best Tourist Country 2007" from Travel News during The Norwegian Grand Travel Awards 2007. This is the 4th year Thailand was named no. 1. Ranking by points received after Thailand are Greece, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Brazil, USA, France, UK, and Sweden. Thai Airways also received the best international airline in the same survey. The results based on the feed back from over 300 tour companies.
Besides, Thailand also named "The Top Value For-Money Countries" by Chicago Tribune on Jan 7, 2007. The decision was made based on the Country Brand Index 2006. Other countries in the top 10 are Indonesia, USA, Turkey, Spain, India, Vietnam, Singapore, Greece and Hungary.
I read it from yesterday newspaper.

visit www.visualthailand.com and see 1000's of current photos about Bangkok and Thailand. These are photos of all the attractions would want to see here.
It is like taking a visual min-tour before ever getting here. I think once you spend some time on that website you will make your mind up where you want to go.
I live in Bangkok and feel the experience here is second to no place in the world and there is so much to see and do (see all the photos) read the stories on visualthailand, etc
You will get a great idea what Bangkok is really all about
Plus the big attraction is the Thai People. So friendly they will make you feel like you are home.
I recommend Thailand 100%

I have never been to Africa, but i have been to Thailand twice, each time spending close to 1 month there. I love Thailand so much, the people are open and friendly, and the country is so interesting! And also that's where i met my fiance',and spent 3 weeks there with her parents and family, I have been to many different parts of Thailand, not just the "Tourist" areas. I now plan on going there every year, If you like shopping, its the place to go, due to the great exchange rate, it's not a expensive place to visit, and they have great feet massage parlours everywhere, i miss my feet massages a lot.

Go to Cambodia. I just got back from Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and Cambodia was by far the best place. You can kick in the BKK for a little while, but its such a huge city (12 million people) that its pretty exhausting. Check out Ayuthia (sp?), abotu 50 K north of Bangkok. Also, I've heard great things about Chang Mei in the north of Thailand. But Cambodia is totally awesom - the people are super pumped now that there 30 years of war and genocide is over. Its an amazing country with some really increadible people. You can fly from BKK to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap (near Angkor Wat, a must see) for under $200.

Yes, many times. And I prefer to be out of Bangkok as it is too touristy for me.
What I like are the Thai people, ever so friendly and hospitable. This makes me go back and interact with them. Not to mention the sights I am getting traveling in Thailand.
You can email me at thaitourinfo@yahoo.com if you like or visit www.tourismthailand.org for more information.
