I am wondering if there are non-abusive elephant camps in Chiang Mai? I see that there is the Elephant Nature Park, which looks fun, but quite pricey.

Is there any place to actually ride elephants which does not abuse them? If not, I will happily go to the Nature Park and pay more. Especially if it helps feed the elephants.

Any real answers are greatly appreciated.

I'll be arriving in Bangkok this tuesday, around 5pm. Which mode of transportation would you recommend to get from airport to hotel (Grand Hyatt Erawan)...taxi or limo service? I know limo service is more expensive than taxi, but if it's worth it I'll do it. Which is better? And about how much would each one cost me?

I fell into that trap for a while, she was a vixen and a little psycho, just like my last g/f in the USA, but it ended without me losing too much cash. I really don't regret it because she took me to some nice local places that I wouldn't have gotten to without her. Thought of her as kind of an expensive tour guide with a great body.

We are travelling to Bangkok and Phuket in March, was wondering whether the shopping centres and markets have all shoe sizes up to ladies size 9 (Australian), or only smaller sizes.

I'm looking for a clean and reasonably priced hotel in Nakhon Ratchasima. So far I could find out 3 hotels, Chaopaya Inn, Rachaphuruk Grand Hotel, and Chomsrang Hotel. Can any one recommend one of those or know better hotels there?

What can one expect to spend per day staying in Thailand? (not including hotel) Like transportation, food, drink etc.

Also how much could it cost to go from Bangkok to southern islands (like Krabi and others)?

P.S. This question is NOT for those who have no spending limits. More budget friendly.
