Hi..
I do enjoy visiting Thailand all these while.. Won't mind the idea of having a 2nd home there if my finances allows it.. Its a little lacking at this point in time..
However my finances still enables me to visit Thailand regularly.. I'm going over to Phuket in Mar & Bangkok in Jul.. ;)
It a nice place for a quick get away within 3hrs flight.. There is stil so many places in Thailand that I have not visited.. Many beautiful islands especially..

to me thailand is the best place, it's my hometown xD. I'm from bangkok. Well, a lot of foreigners like thailand not because of prostitutions!! it depends where u wanna live tho. Bangkok is different from other cities. If u wanna be in Bkk, i'll recommend that u choose some area not to close to the city or downtown, or a city like pattaya(~2 hours by car from bkk) where a lot of foreigners live and there r beaches. right now im in california and my grandma told me i better not go back because it's unsafe there now. but i guess if u wanna live on the countryside, northern thailand, or Phuket etc, except southern thailand, i think it's gonna be fine =).

Sure, it's great to live in Thailand, although things are not so good now with the government. Do you need a home? I know someone who's selling one in Bangkok.

I do but that is because I'be been away from Thailand my birth place for over 20 years and miss it. Too bad, I can't go back and stay permanently due to my kid's and spouse's country of preference. (Both of them were born here in the USA) I'm a minority vote.

If you need friends, then meet some of the many foreigners living here already.
Take care the new visa rules - which only allow you to stay 90 days, and no more.
