The weather will still be nice in Phuket at that time. I've just been to Phuket and Phi Phi last week. I would suggest you to visit Raja Yai Island, Koh Lanta and Phi Phi and its surrounding island for goods snorkeling sites (Bamboo Island, Monkey Island, Maya Bay, etc.). Pang-Nga and Krabi are another great place to visit and they are within 2 - 3 hour-drive from Phuket. It's also closer to go to Phi Phi from Krabi. Krabi's main attractions are Railey Beach (white sane, clear water and best place for clift climbing), the hot waterfall, emerald pond, Tup Island, Hong Island, etc. For Pang-Nga, you can visit the James Bond Island, Panyee Community (islamic community for shopping if you like batik cloth), etc.
As for price, it's quite pricey at this time of the year esp. the hotels. Hotels around the beachfront are very pricey now. To save cost, stay in the city area where there's public transportation to the beach. I stayed in a hotel in Krabi city, which is about 20 minute drive from the beachfront, and I saved alot of money as I paid only Baht 800/ night compared to Baht 2000 - 3000/ night in beachfront area. Food is not a expensive at all in Thailand if you are not into fancy stuffs. Your average expense for food should not exceed USD 10/ day. Seafood can cost around USD 25 - 30/ meal for an average restaurant.

In Phuket, there will be many theme parks to visit. Check www.tourismthailand.org for them and the entrance fee.
Patong Beach and Koh Phi Phi are resort areas, for staying. Good for relaxing and being a beach bum and just people watching if you like..
As for other places to vsit, check the website or email me at thaitourinfo@yahoo.com for some recommendations if you like.

Thailand is great, it will be hot, humid with maybe rains in the afternoon. The shopping is great and cheap, don't stuff your suitcase cause you will want to take stuff back. Food is cheap and they have just about every restaurant that is found in the USA as well as great Thai food, Prices range from very cheap for street food to moderate. If you like seafood it is fresh and cheap. People are friendly, traffic is horrible, always allow extra time to get places. You will have a great time.

You definitely want to grab a Lonely Planet guide (they have one dedicated to the Thailand's Islands and Beaches). Personally, I loved Railay. It's main attraction is rock climbing (beautiful limestone cliffs) and the community there is very friendly.
