Where can i find a nice beach, fine white sand, crystal clear water & cheap beach resort accomodation in Thailand , in Phuket or any place in Thailand ? Is thailand beaches safe from thefts? Can we go wearing Thongs (Males) ?

Koh Lanta, Phang-Nga, Ko Samet, Koh Tao, all great! Thongs? Na, speedos better mate! And have a sarong to cover up when not sunbathin/ swimmin! Theft, u bet, dont advertise that u have stuff. Even your hotel rooms not 100% safe, take ATM cards for transactions, take out $100 a time. Forget travellers cheques, thats dead now, except as backup.

Just out of Phuket and into Krabi or Phang-nga. Check www.asiarooms.com for location to stay in. These will be cheaper than in Phuket and you still get white sand and clear waters!

Maribago on Mactan Is. is supposed to be nice but I couldn't afford it. If you go to White Beach near Moalboal on the west or Malapascua Island just off the coast on the north of Cebu island you'll be happy.
