A fantastic trip is to get a speedboat trip out from the main marina on the island - to the outlying island - I went to "james bond island" (because it appeared in one of the early connery films) - honestly, it's exhilarating and well worth it - you get to travel at high speed amongst gorgeous caves, grottos and mango swamps, and see a floating thai gypsy village on the way. There are a few reputable tour companies in the marina who run tours there - will cost about £35 but well worth it - you get lunch and are out all day. On the way you stop at deserted islands to snorkel. If I can find the name of the tour company from my mementos I will come back and post it on here. We were in SE asia for three weeks and this was the absolute highlight of our visit. Because the boats are quite small and the trip constantly active, you don't have any issues aboutbeing on your own.

You just have to get a snorkel and mask, it is like swimming in an exotic fish tank in places, absolutly amazing.
Go with some of the excusions like the james bond island tour and, well i tryed loads and i thought they were all good.
If you want something different, try the simon show, its men in drag but it is funny.
There is also fantasy land i think it is called, it a sort of theme park thing.
Kata beach was my favorite place to go. Surin beach was also a nice place.
Be honest there are loads of places to eat, far too many to pick a best on for me. The Oktoberfest just outside Patong is different with its German food, mind you after almost three weeks of thia food the change was welcombe
Patong is seedy, ok if you want a lay, just look for the adams apple and broad shoulders. I was there with the misses and they still come on to you, like i said seedy.
You will love it though, enjoy

i could detect a hotel on line just to e book for the 1st evening or 2 then you certainly can seem around for a greater effective place to stay in the experience that your no longer pleased with the region you booked. I additionally advise you employ public transportation to get around like the bus Phi Phi you are able to arrive and on the dock and could be lots of those with carts to take your luggage, so i could examine some places on line and only examine them out once you arrive. i does no longer hire a automobile here, the regulations of the line are no longer constantly accompanied here and an twist of destiny might desire to easily wreck your holiday. you are able to look into excursions on the numerous excursion companies in Phuket. You the two won't want a visa. the two one in each and every of you're visa exempt for as much as 30 days once you arrive via air, so no subject there.
