I feel like in most places in China, Beijing especially, you can't take photos. I know photography is not permitted at the Terrocotta army place. But I want to know if photography is allowed at Tianamen Square and The Forbidden City.

Can you guys name famous/well known places where I can or cannot take pictures because I'm going to China soon and I don't want my camera taken or something like that.

Were NOT getting an agent, we think he has all the needles he needs, were getting a paper sayign he's allowed to live in the apartment...umm, i'm really scared that there not gonna let him in for some reason. will be a 7days6nights trip with parents. hopes to make it a memorable trip as they never travel out of Singapore before.
since we have a week there, i wish to visit macau and shenzhen while in HK. btw i'll be staying in Stanford Hotel (Mongkok)

in VERY VERY DETAILED answers, describe the routes, e.g what transportation serv. number.. etc.
- as I'll be in Mongkok, which is faster to get a ferry; going to TST's ChinaFerryTerminal or SheungWan's ShunTak Centre Ferry?
- from TST station, can I walk to the "China Ferry Terminal" to ferry to ShenZhen?
- Macau Ferry Terminal; is it near the central so I can just walk in, or do i have to use transportation?
