Horrible! Imagine children who thought they were having their very first magical experience of Disneyland but it's actually a fake! To me, Disney themes and characters offer a lifelong memory. Not like other cartoon favorites like Barney, Dora, Power Rangers....which eventually kind of fades out as a child grows. (with the exception of Sesame Street! :> )
China already is infamous for counterfeit goods. This comes from a society which lacks discipline and respect for copyright protections. And now a Disneyland replica? Are we exposing our children to a world of deceits??? What will be the outcome?

mutually as others have replied relating to the park in Korea, there are 2 different "Disneyland-stimulated" parks in Asian worldwide places that have been direct steals from Disneyland. the 1st is Nara Dreamland in Japan. Now closed, it featured an identical shape and format as Disneyland, even a significant street best to a fort. the story is going that the proprietors approached Walt Disney interior the 60's to construct a Disneyland in Japan. Disney chosen to no longer, so that they copied his park besides. the different park, Shijingshan entertainment Park, is on mainland China and is owned and operated via the state. Its slogan is "by using fact Disneyland is basically too a techniques away". Blatant copying of Disney characters (inspite of the shown fact that they declare their chinese language Mickey is a cat, no longer a mouse), comparable shape, and a large type of undesirable prepare moments of costumed characters commencing off their heads in finished view.

I clicked on the link you've provided, and it said "Page Cannot Be Displayed". Sorry.
Anyway though, I've heard that there's a Disneyland rip-off in Beijing (I think...) and [according to someone] they make very strange excuses, like "That's not Mickey Mouse, that's a cat with very big ears!" Hahaha!
But I think there are plans of building a Disneyland in Shanghai, and I think it'll open in 2010. I heard that it's going to be bigger than the one in Hong Kong.

Well I guess we all infringe copyright. Me Odie, Astrix above and Mickey Mouse. So I guess we cant really judge them. Personally I think economy of scale should be brought into copyright limitations. It should be a law that mass produced items should have a regulated pricing depending on volume. Patent is yet another discriminatory law to protect the rich.

Good for China. The US Government has no interest in joining the International Court. Maybe Disney, through their ABC network, can now apply pressure to join. Until such time as we do, there is really no good method to apply judgment and penalties for violations such as this (and of course, war crimes).
