Can't give you specifics, but usually there a lot of people looking for students to teach English to kids there. Be forewarned though, make sure you thoroughly research any company you hire on with, I had some friends who did the teaching thing and they were supposed to be getting a lot of money, but they didn't' read the fine print that said that their 'training' costs would be deducted from their pay...it took them two months of working full time to pay off their training cost and since they didn't bring a lot of money with them (expecting to get paid well right away) they were pretty broke for the first while and weren't able to have much fun because of it.
Oh and something to note: chicken breast is one of the cheapest meats in china because the Chinese prefer the brown meat so it is probably the safest thing to order because it is easy to recognize since nothing else looks quiet like chicken breast. Otherwise you have to be careful with the meats because the Chinese are non-discriminatory with their meat sources. My friend once though she was eating red jello, it turned out to be jellied blood, which is quite popular there.
Oh and ask for an American toilet when you go to rent cause their toilets are sometimes nothing more than a flushing hole in the floor.

Get an ESL certificate and teach English in China.
A heads up, be careful who you accept employment from. Most places are good, but there are some that will promise you everything you want, then when you get there you'll find the accommodation's ancient without western facilities (Illegal) and the pay is not what they stated, and the working conditions and hours long........that is the exception to the rule.
Also, there are head hunters out there that are less then honest.
Go to http://www.daveseslcafe.com if that is not the address, it is something similar.
I'm an English teacher in China, have been teaching here for the last year. The best experience I've ever had.
Peace

Good, now you do your research. Do not believe this crap about evil nation or out to rule the world! Where do you people come from? Yes, everybody needs to be careful in any major city and anytime you travel to a real unknown, get your act together! I would be much more afraid in NYC than any city in China. I am a world traveler (68 countries) and have lived abroad most of my adult life. I think I have been treated better by strangers while away than in this country. Follow your dream, just don't be dream struck in your planning and securing good references for any posting abroad.

Look to high tech. There are quite a few big tech companies paying off government officials to relax China restrictions. They're already training and sending people there.
China's a terrible country that's morally bankrupt. The US and China have gotten to a huge breaking point and something incredibly bad could happen in their relationship. I don't recommend visiting them or wanting to work there.

First of all, DON'T GO TO CHINA!!!!!!!
If you do business or work in China what you are actually doing is funding the largest and most dangerous country in the "axis of evil". The Chinese are our enemy and they hate us. They will invade us. They hate everything we stand for. They want us dead.
China have some diabolical schemes to kill us all in a chemical and biological warfare. We are slowly being poisoned by China. First it was our dogs with poisoned dog food... Next our pork, now our children with lead poisoning. I bet in a year they'll be selling posioned lotions that can kill you in one usage. or even posion shampoos!
In China everything belongs to the state. Everything are given by the state and may be taken away anytime the state see fit.
China's government is absolutely cruel and intolorable. So ones you get there the police will take all of your things then put you and your family into communist concentration camp for re-education (brainwash). If you are lucky you may live, but as a mindless slave.
Don't go there!
