I lived in Biejing for three years and also travelled there as a businessman/tourist
Landscape, I would say there is not a whole lot of that around
Food, is very good I like beifang cai
People, they could work on manners a little, they love to talk which is nice, but they are rough around the collar

I just came back last night from Beijing, business trip, I go there quite often and I think it is a convenient city. People are nice. This trip I got sometime to go and have a look of the Shin Kong Place (a new high-end department store / mall) and it was very impressive, it looks very alike a Japanese department store.

Food is just ok, still not as good as (varieties / qualities / services, etc) what we have here in Hong Kong (in my opinion), but I can see the improvement!

There is nowhere you can find and beat Beijing when you talk about the culture and historic sites!

The only thing I do not like is traffic jam in rush hours but every big city in Asia has the same problem.

I have been once, two years ago, and will go back in 1 month. Food is good and better than I would have thought reading the guidebooks. The Great Wall is awesome but the landscape is not so good. The people were very nice but you have to watch out for the businessmen but that is similar in other big cities.

I think the people are one of the best things about this city. I look different being from Texas but everyone was very helpful and friendly.

i loved beijing! i was there 4 years ago on a tour all over china and beijing was one of my favorite stops. seeing the "great wall of china" was a "great" experience! the forbidden city, temple of heaven and tiananmen square are the places i wont forget, all that history. fantastic! we did join a tour group and the beijing part of it was for about 4 days only, i think it should have been longer considering all the things to do there. the opera was an unforgettable experience too. the food was good specially in that famous peking duck restaurant. wish i could go back again!!!

the shopping on that street near the embassies was fun too!! lot's of fake stuff but it was fun!

I just went to Beijing and I thought it was great. The good was good, the sights were amazing and the alleys were a blast. People were also much nicer than they were a few years ago.
