I'm planning on going to japan in 2 weeks and was wondering if the JR East pass covers the narita express. The Narita express is about $50 each way and if the ticket for the JR pass is about $140(youth ticket. I'm 21) then it would definitely be worth buying the pass. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have seen statistics that over 50% of adult men smoke in Japan. In the March 15, 2007 edition the economist showed Japanese smoking over 2200 cigarettes per person per year (7th highest, and #1 non-european country) .... Is this changing much? http://www.economist.com/daily/chartgallery/displaystory.cfm?story_id=9177235

A man was crossing the Atlantic by ship. He was terribly seasick and stayed in his cabin. Then one night he heard someone shout "Man overboard." Someone has fallen into the sea in the middle of the night. The man in the cabin felt that there was nothing he could do to help. But he thought: "I can at least put my lantern in the porthole." He struggled to his feet and hung the light so it would shine out into the dark sea.
The next day, he learned that the person was rescued, and heard him say: " I was going down in the dark night for the last time when someone put a light in a porthole. As it shone on my hand, a sailor in a lifeboat grabbed it and pulled me in."

...with your wife?

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home.

He wanted her to see what he went through so he Prayed:

"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day.

Amen.

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.

The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman

He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook.

He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.

Hi.

I am travelling with two of my friends and staying in Bangkok from 20th to 24th Jan 08.

Any info on good hotels around US $ 50-60 located close to shopping and eating areas?

I read quite a lot about hotels in bangkok but this would be helpful if I get some reviews on good hotels.

Thanks in advance.

If you think about it most of the brand names shoes for example come from China and electronic products as well. So how can we say that Chinese fake goods are really fake when companies make them in China for large corporations over here.
