I'm planning on going to japan in 2 weeks and was wondering if the JR East pass covers the narita express. The Narita express is about $50 each way and if the ticket for the JR pass is about $140(youth ticket. I'm 21) then it would definitely be worth buying the pass. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The JR east pass covers the Narita express, of course!
With this pass, you can go from Narita to Tokyo for nothing.
Have a nice trip!

Yes, JR East pass covers your NEX ride. You can pretty much get around Tokyo using JR lines as well. Just don't use your JR pass just to get from Narita to Tokyo and then spend a week in Tokyo while the clock is ticking on your pass. That would not be worthwhile.

JR is seperated into different area in japan. So JR east should work on the eastern side of japan.
