i am a fresher Mechannical engineer from india. i got a offer from a singapore company with $1800 per month with accomodation. can i survive with this pay and can i save?

I don't think you could live off that monthly. You most certainly will not be able to save much. I depends on how you actually like to live. Do you have a family? I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that singapore is a very expensive place to live in so you might find it's not enough. But hey what do I know? I just think that if I was earning that amount of money I would want to live the expensive way and it probably wouldn't be possible.

Average expenses per month per person-

3 meals daily: $180 ~ $270
Transport: $200 ~ $300
*Accommodation (one room rental): $300 ~ $400
Entertainment: $50 ~ $200
Misc: $100 ~ $200
Total: $830 ~ $1370
Total w/o Accommodation: $530 ~ $970

This all depends on ur lifestyle. We have foreign workers earning about $600 who can save, send money home and survive. So, should not be a prob for a single person here. $1800 is average income here for a diploma holder in Singapore.

S$1800 shouldn't be a problem if you are living alone. But it's definitely not enough for a family.

The amount is enough your living expenses will not be high go for it no Company is going to go to the trouble of employing you only to lose you becase they did not pay you enough ~~
