I will be going to the Philippines for the first two weeks in August. I was hoping someone could offer some good traveling tips. Anything from what to pack, what to where, what to carry with me, would help. I will be staying in a rural area with some relatives for the most part. Salamat!

Background Info: My boyfriend and his ex-wife have joint custody of their son (their divorce was done in the US). They and their 7 year old son are all Chinese citizens living in the US. My boyfriend and his son will be traveling to China. Is there anything legally required by the US and/or China when a child travels outside the country with only one parent? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

What's the best way to travel and stay there? I'd like to stay probably in the Tokyo area but that's not really mandatory.

What are the available alternatives? Like Buses, Trains. I am afraid that the train system might be abit complicated. The bus? I am not sure where to alight & stuffs. So I would gladly appreciate if someone can guide me and give a gauge of the amount I would need to spend. Thank you.

I am interested in vintage LED watched and calculators. Any ideas where in Japan is a good area to visit? Also, if you happen to know a good area for new electronics...namely digital watches, I would like to know that as well. Thanks a million in advance!!
