Asia Pacific - June 2006

I am planning a vacation to Toyko next year, but have no idea on what are the best seasons and the best places to stay. We do not want to stay at the same hotel the whole stay, but instead, would like to travel to different parts of Japan. I would like as much information from someone who either lived there or travels there a lot. We are going to be there for a minimum of 2 weeks, more if necessary.

Im a Singaporean so I will be changing Singapore Dollars to Thai Bhat to use there. My husband and I are going there and its our first time. We intend to do shopping, eat at nice restaurants and visit the Phi Phi Islands.

So I would like to know how much money we should bring or rather how much would we need to spend for 3 days?

the Vietnamese embassy in Japan's website seems to be down.
I don't live in Tokyo so I can't just walk up to the embassy. I know a travel agency could do it if I booked with them, but I'm buying my ticket on my own. Help please.

I'm looking for tips on enjoying the nightlife in Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, and Tokyo (where to go, what to do). I'm in my mid 20s and am looking for a scene that generally attracts people my age. I'm also hoping to find places where I'll have an opportunity to flirt with the females (local or foreign). ;-) ...and no, I'm not looking for prostitutes. I'm just looking for fun places with good music and good drinks.

I'll be spending a week in each city. I already have a good idea of what sites I want to see in each city during the day, but I'm looking for recommendations for nightlife.

If you've been to any or all of these cities, do you have any advice?
