DELLS 4.1 million recall of laptop batteries manufactured by SONY due to overheating and seven or more cases of spontaneuos fires caused by inconsistencies within the batteries...FYI...could we expect a ban on all electronic devices...ala fluids.

I seem to always get the last seat and the last boarding zone! It always takes me the longest to get off the plane when we arrive. How are the seats and boarding zone determined?? Is there any way to insure that you will get a seat near the front of the plane ? (*besides being in 1st class obviously)

I have a Poloroid portable DVD player with its own screen. It fits in this bag (man purse) along with quite a bit of stuff, like DVD's. (I lug it to work,watch dvds on the bus, this bag weighs about 30 lbs) it runs on its own battery. Am I going to have problems this Saturday having this bag, DVD player inside, as my only carry-on?

I need to purchase (2) airline tickets from Ohio to Florida. Since all this terrorist stuff happened within the last few weeks and the airporst have upped their security... prices per ticket went up like $7 each... do you think they will continue to rise, or do you think they price will fall again? Should I buy now, or wait it out...? (I'm going at the end of October)

On my flight back from visiting family in Philadelphia US Airways misplaced my luggage. 2 days later they finally found it and delivered it back to me. However this was a major inconvenience because it contained my work clothes, all my shoes, all my makeup, shampoo, hair dryer, deoderant, etc. Will they refund my ticket or give me free vouchers if I complain?

I have been offered an incredible job opportunity. The pay is excellent but it requires lots of traveling (completely paid for). I will be put up in 5 star hotels and my wardrobe will be Italian made suits paid for by the company. I have not flown for about 8 or 9 years because of a bad experience. I have already accepted this opportunity which will begin next month. But even with all the perks, I get nervous just thinking about being on another plane. Does anyone have any ideas how to get over your fear of flying? Serious answers please?
