I know that in the last few days, American flights have banned liquids and gels, and British flights to America have banned almost all carry ons. I was wondering if American-bound flights from other European countries are equally strict. I'm going on a trip there next month, so just wondering how the flight back will be.

...a bunch of emergency duct tape which I would wrap around my suitcase no less than nineteen times so that nothing fell out during the journey, would the airport security be more likely to open it as it now looks unusual? Would they put fresh duct tape back on it after a search so that none of my stuff is lost?

What was it like? To where did you fly? Did you have to take anything out of your carry-on bag, like an aerosol can? Were you late to get to your plane? I'm just curious as how everything is going with all the new restrictions. I won't be traveling until the end of October, though.
Thanks!

Does it only include alcoholic beverages (i.e. without label or alcoholic content) or does it also include any sort of liquids including toiletry items (like cleansers, toothpaste, liquid lotions, makeup items, etc)?

I also know that sharp items are not allowed in carry-ons, what other items are not allowed (since they seem to be more strict recently)

I don't know if this makes a difference but I will be riding with Air Canada airlines for an international flight.
