Most airlines are still at 1 carry-on plus a personal item (purse, computer case, etc.), but they've cracked down on everything these past few days, including what each defines as a personal item, what max size carry ons are allowed, etc.
I'm heading to DC on Monday, and have had about a dozen workmates travel since the London scare, but most say not a big deal.

You'll get through security much easier if you can just plan on checking as much as you can. You're allowed 1 carry on item and a personal item such a laptop or purse. But seriously, you'll do much better if you carry on your id in a wallet, and a book. You should always check with your airline for their particular checked luggage requirements, each has slightly different ones.

Right now it is a good idea to eliminate carry-ons. Don't bring any liquids, and carry no sharp objects. If you are a woman and have jewelry, carry it in your purse. Look through pockets and/or purse and ask yourself if the TSA might think of any of your items could be a weapon. It's crazy what they make you throw away. I had one friend with a purse and a carry on and they made her check the purse. Have fun on your trip.

For domestic flights (within the US), they are still allowing one carry-on and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. But, check with your airline to make sure.
Just remember, for now there are no liquids or gels allowed on board except baby food, formula and medications.

How could you have half heard? Since you were able to hear part of the advisory, go and listen and stop playing cute.
