Air Travel

Is it allowed to pack a plant in with my luggage when I fly from France to Britain? I know there are strict rules as to what can and can't be brought into a country (no meat products, no fruit etc.) but I've found no mention of this on the airline's website. It just says no dangerous items such as poisons, firearms, aerosols etc. Thanks!

Some people say they're checked through, some people say I have to claim them at baggage claim, go through customs, then I put them back on a carousel that is right there, and some people say I claim them at baggage claim, go through customs, then have to carry them to my next flight. I am connecting from AA to BA. I called the airline and the reservationist had "no idea" Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I travel frequently between college and home and am looking for a leather case of some kind, cylindrical with a radius of at least 4 inches and at least 3ft long for carrying posters, maps or large sheets of paper. I am leaving on Tuesday for Florida, and if any of these Pakistani c ock-suckers even think twice of trying to blow up my plane, they are going to be in some deep s hit!
