I'm flying from Ottawa to San Francisco this Thursay via United Airlines. I know I'm not allowed to bring liquids on the plane, but can I still bring my digital camera and MP3 with me as carry-on ?? Because I will definately not check them.

Yes, they are still allowed, but you should play it safe and check with the airline before you leave. Not that you get up to security and they take them from you. I don't blame you about not wanting to check them. I've heard too many horror stories about stuff being stolen from checked bags by baggage handlers and TSA folks. If they do start banning electronic devices in your carryon, that will be the day I stop flying. There is no way I'm putting my laptop, digital camera, cell phone and GPS into my checked bags. If I did, I bet that would be the last time I'd see them!

certain you could take your digital camera, no longer in straightforward words on your checked luggage, yet as well on your keep on as well. to stay away from having your checked luggage opened and searched at the same time as it truly is en course to the baggage compartment on your airplane, dont stack such issues as books on properly of eachother, area them out. also something electric powered, or dense like your hairbrush, shaving kit etc. once you've a large type of digital camera kit or workstation kit packed on your generic suitcase inclusive of your clothing, area them out as well no longer in straightforward words to guard your stuff from being slammed round throughout transportation and flight, yet as well so at the same time as they experiment your bag they could obviously see each merchandise. once you stack a set of dense stuff at the same time it truly is harder for them to work out obviously what it truly is on the little black and white reveal screen, as a effect requiring your luggage to be opened and examined, then piled back in. (they are going to leave a word saying it replaced into searched.) Likewise if u lock your luggage they're licensed to shrink all locks. Use Zip ties in case you want to. yet, so a options as i recognize all thats banned is beverages and gels from keep on, as well because the conventional banned products. also x ray gained't harm your digital camera.

Not sure, but I'd still pack them in my checked baggage -- you can listen to the music they supply - it's really not bad - or watch a movie.
