To be totally honest with you, I am a little concerned about that day myself. However, get on your plane, and keep your eyes and ears open. If you see something that concerns you, pass it on to an airline official, TSA, or police. If you're wrong, so what.
It's up to us as citizens to look out for each other in the US. I am still going to work that day, and you catch your flight and be fearless.
No terrorist is going to scare me, that's just what they are hoping for. You can do it!

Yes, change the date if possible. You are probably safer now, then a week ago. However, if you are going to get overwhelmed with stress, because of the news saying this date is some form of Muslim apocalypse. I even heard on the news, that Iran is planning something. (How would they know) For your own peace of mind, change the date, if it is work related, it may not be a bad day to come down with the 24 hour flu. Come down was probably a bad choice of words. However, I was just on a flight that had a movie playing about a plane crashing on landing, right before we landed. You would think, they would edit this or not show that particular movie. Now a days I think a good comedy is in order...

On the Islamic calendar this date will be the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427, the commemoration of Muhammad's "night journey".
The Shiite belief is that by throwing the world into destructive chaos, the "13th Imam" will come, who is basically the Muslim messiah.
Iran's lunatic president Ahmadinejad has made several references to this date.

That's the whole point of terrorism--to make people live in fear. You can rest assured the authorities around the world are taking every measure to make air travel safe. You can't live your life in fear. I'm sure with the thousands of flights that happen daily you will be just fine.

flying is surely safer than automobiles, or boats or the different transportation. even although you generally hear of airplane crashes on the information, there are hundreds of different flights according to day that have not have been given any issues. planes in no way run out of gas interior the air, and that they are inspected till now each and every flight by utilising a mechanic. they even confirm that it relatively is alright to fly with the climate till now takeoff. all the team and the pilots have alot of adventure. I surely have been flying for all time because i became 2, between north united statesa. and south united statesa., and that i've got in no way had any difficulty of any style in any respect. i in my opinion experience safer flying than using in a motor vehicle. and there are greater motor vehicle injuries than air injuries, the two by utilising quantity and according to capita.

Trust in God. If its going to happen then God has all the remotes. He pushes the buttons and if he's ready for another angel he'll let you know. If not, once you meet your destination ask God to put one hand on your shoulder and one over your mouth. I'm more than sure he won't deny u of that request.

i can understand your fear, however if you live your life afraid of terrorist you will live in a bomb shelter the rest of your life. at one time (around 9/11) i was afraid in general of what could happen and who knew what was next and grew quite paranoid, but that was letting the terrorist win. you have no reason to live your life in fear. they should be scared of us and what power we hold when we don't give in to them. just make sure you are up to snuff on what you can and cannot take on the planes now or where proper storage for these items are. the easier you make it on yourself to pass secuity the better you are. relax and have fun on your trip. you'll be fine.
