Well personally I think it is one of the worst jobs you can get. They have recently given national pay cuts to flight attendants and what can they do nothing because the job of a flight attendant is very replacable. What kind of job training do you need to push a cart or be friendly which not all flight attendants are anyway. What do you need college for when you can get a job asking, " would you like some peanut's" 1200 a month thats less than 8 dollars and hour teenagers can make more than that sometimes. This is sincere advice do something different, it may seem fun at first but once your always traveling and understand how boring flights can be you not going to be as excited.

First you have to work out of the domicle, aka hub. Alright for example, I live in Milwaukee so I have to work for Skyway or Midwest because they are stationed out of Milwaukee. Dont apply online, go to the station headquarters. The address will be listed on the airlines website.

When I did this, I was called for an info session, which was followed with 3 more interviews. (if you make it to the next interview)
Once hired I had a variety of tasks to do, get a passport, FBI criminal background check, drug test, and PAPERWORK UP THE WAZOO!
Training was 2.5 MONTHS! (Paid, but its not always paid, and not always lasts that long)
People think that a Flight Attendant is a glorified waitress in the air, WRONG. It might be the hardest job in training ever! College was easier!
***You must live near the hub for the airline, near the airport. Most Flight Attendants are on a reserve line, meaning that (with the airline I worked for) I had to wait by my phone, when they called I had 90 minutes to get to the airport) It stinked!

Good Luck, Its hard work!

Also for regional airlines the pay only starts at 1200 a month, The larger the airline, more the pay, but they prefer you to have prior airline experience. So get a big airline, or the pay sucks!

Its a great career. You get teh opportunity to knwo a lot fo countries. But these days with what is happening with terrorism and all you may want to consider seriously the airline you want to work with and the destinations they cover.

It's a great career. You can hand out non-liquid drinks wondering who's going to blow the plane up.
