I am feeling so bad these days and I know I am being a bit harsh and sometimes rude in my responses but soon I will get better just like Mimi a few weeks ago.

Peace to you all

and happy Eid to Muslims

What crafts do Moroccan women enjoy? What about women under age 40 and over age 40, is there much of a difference? What type of crafting supplies are hard to come by in Morocco? What type of things do we have here that you think they might like there if anything? Anything you can add to any of this would be helpful. Thanks and moubrouk leid!

David was an assimilated Jew and a passionate atheist. But he sent his son to Trinity School because despite its' denominational roots, it was good academically, and totally secular. After a month, his son comes home and says casually, 'By the way Dad, do you know what 'Trinity' means? It means the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.'
The father can barely control his angst. He grabs his son by the shoulders and declares: 'Danny, I'm going to tell you something now and I want you NEVER to forget it. There is only ONE G-d - and we don't believe in Him!!!'

At the Russian War College, a general is a guest lecturer. He tells the officers that the session will focus on potential problems and the resulting strategies. One of the officers starts: 'Will we have to fight in WW3?'
'Yes, Comrades, you probably will,' replies the general.
'And who will be the enemy?' asks another officer.
'Probably China.'

I am traveling to visit my fiance and family for Eid and need gift ideas. In the past I've taken macadamia nuts from Hawaii and olive oil from Spain. What are good gifts to give? Something that they cannot find in Morocco. Thank you and Mabrouk Eid!

Maya's latest gem: 'I wonder, does Beezlebub keep a kosher kitchen?'

She just gets better by the day! In fact, I'm going to start a collection of her 'thoughts'.

What say you, my fellow Jews - whoops, sorry, 'colonists' according to Maya the Mad.

I think(hope) that we can all agree that the Palestinians are not ready right now for self-governance. It is very likely that if the Israelis were to suddenly pull out that the West Bank would become very much like a large Gaza. And I do not think most people want that to happen

My suggestion is then that some international group gradually step in to keep the peace between both sides while at the same time assuring Israeli security concerns

The hope is overtime the Palestinians will be able to create a reliable system and emerge as a stable nation. hopefully in the way that Serb areas in most parts are integrating with Kosavo so to Israeli settlements would be able to integrate into a Palestinian state.

Any thoughts on this?

-As a last note I am trying really hard to be optimistic that a two-state-solution can/will work, but so far I am constantly getting jaded. A part of me really wants to advocate straight out voluntary transfer though I cannot imagine who would take them

According to wikipedia, he was a member of Urząd Bezpieczeństwa (state security), who has been blamed from the death of 1695 inmates, who where political prisnors and GERMAN NATIONALISTS.

He was accused of Morel was accused of causing these deaths by deliberately giving low food rations, systematically torturing and mistreating prisoners, and failing to take sanitary precautions and also trying to TAKE REVENGE FOR THE HOLUCAST.

In 1992 he fled to israel, where his own people freed him from the from the war crimes and crimes against humanity that he commited.

So the question lies, was this an attempt from a jewish citizen to take revenge for the holucast, on 1695 inmates, who were mostly civilians, including many women and some children?

Was he a terroist?

Tequila's excellent post about this deserves to be reinforced. What do all of Israel's critics say about how Israel is repairing a ramp by the AlAqsa Mosque, to make it safer for everyone who visits?

This great link - again all credit to Tequila - is expressing the viewpoint of a Muslim who rightly says that the Islamic community condemned Israel for trying to destroy the Mosque when in fact, it was being repaired!

Now let's compare this to what Jordan did when it controlled Jerusalem; it turned the holiest Jewish sites into horse stables.

For the past few weeks, I have been reading extensively the Yahoo! travel section, because my older daughter wants to go on a graduation cruise in the Mediterranean sea next summer. I am thinking not to let her do this. You see the cruise includes Israel as a destination.
I am simply afraid to let her visit this country especially from what I've seen on the TV and from what people have written here, in the Travel section. Do you think I am over-reacting?
Please I'd appreciate some advice from a non-Israeli or Jewish or Arab person. Thank you.

CAIRO — Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert ordered expediting controversial excavations near Al-Maghariba Gate, one of Al-Aqsa Mosque's 14 gates, two days after the Annapolis peace conference, Israeli Haaretz daily revealed on Monday, December 17.
The government has instructed the Israel Antiquities Authorities (IAA) to complete the work "as soon as possible," allocating a total of INS17.5 million ($4 million) to complete the project.

Israeli bulldozers started in February demolishing the wooden bridge leading to Al-Maghariba Gate and two underground rooms, sparking widespread protests from Palestinians, Muslims and international archeological and cultural bodies.

But archeologists warn that leveling the mound upon which the wooden bridge is built would threaten the foundation of Al-Aqsa Mosque Islam's third holiest, and open the way for more Israeli excavations.

Anybody can add or delete from Wikipedia as they want and the information is not always accurate. That is why at University we are not allowed to use wikipedia and if a student uses wikipedia as a source, the assignment is not accepted. In my opinion, Wikipedia is not trusted. I can create an account now add whatever information I want. You can do that too!

Do you all trust Wikipedia?
