4,000,000 people from the Republic of Congo have now been killed and the numbers just keep on rising. Does the world care at all. Will they have a future right to hold the world accountable for this?

Yes, mankind in genera never learned out of its mistakes and probably will never do...
I don’t know, if it should be called "holocaust", but any place, where people are mistreated, thrown into prison, tortured, murdered and massacred for their "wrong" political opinions, for belonging to the "wrong" ethnical group, for having the "wrong" religion or the "wrong" colour of skin, etc it the hell on earth.
People talk a lot about human rights and so-called progress, but I just have heard words and nothing more when people were massacred in Bosnia, when the so called "ethnic cleaning" took place in Somalia...
And honestly (please correct me if I’m wrong), people care even less when things like these happen in Africa... I have heard such disgusting comments as "oh, that’s typical for the blacks and better not involve in these tribal fights... and how much will it cost Europe again to help these blacks..."
Guess what? People thinking and talking like this are not worth more than these murders who kill innocents, as they are all guilty for not even showing interest or compassion for these innocents which are killed like insects.
I know, not everybody can take his suitcase and go there to help personally, but everybody has a mouth to shout the truth out! Humans think, that they are the most intelligent being on earth - but honestly; no animal would commit these cruelties just for pleasure. Only humans do.
No, Africa is not on the map for Europeans and USA, Africa is just a place to go for safaris and feel superior on a holiday.
I feel, that the world is an absolutely horrible place and people are as cruel as ever. Nobody cares for the poor and innocent victims... sure, what did the rest of the world governments do for our people when they were murdered in the 3. Reich??
The same as now - look away and say stupid things.

Of course the Holocaust happened, but it wasn't only Jewish people who were murdered during World War Two. Ethnic cleansing was on Hitler's mind, and that included a very large portion of Polish people as well as others. It's not made up. That's why we hear about it so much. Because it was an important part of history, a mass genocide.

Tragically, a large portion of the world doesn't seem to care much about Africa. Look at what's been happening in The Sudan. I guess some people have just given up on Africa. Did you see the movie Congo w/ the talking gorilla. It was pretty cool.

The Congo is not the only one. But America cannot afford to be the policemen of the world.
It is the United Nations that needs to act, to bring all the resources of the world's civilized nations to bear on holocausts, famine and disasters.
What about New Orleans. Why no fix THAT city?
The world cares when disaster strikes half a world away, but the good old "policeman of the world" seems to virtually stand alone in the biggest disaster in memory!
The reason my country went to Afghanistan and Korea, but not Viet Nam and the current Iraq war, is that Canada responds to international efforts, not private projects of the USA.
Remember Canada went to Afghanistan in responce to the call of the UN itself...not just the USA.
Why isn't the UN in the Congo? Iraq? Lebannon? Palestine? If there was ethnic cleansing in Europe the whole world would respond!

What do you mean no one is noticing - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Republic_of_the_Congo#Conflict_and_transition_.281996_.E2.80.93_present.29 and where did you get the figure 4 million?
Good Luck!!!
Edit One: That link doesn't bring you to statistics - I have no doubt that many people have died in this civil war - but a civil war doesn't make for a genocide. Africa is full of wars and unless the Europeans want to go back in (with US, Russia, and others support) to take a position of occupier again their isn't much that can be done. At times there are as many as six wars going on in Africa at any given time. Africa is a continent that is a constant war zone.
Edit Two: The US is not the worlds policeman (it can't be - it does not have the resources) and the UN has been in the former Zaire and they get shot at by the warring parties - but this is a situation that calls for the UN. The UN is just ineffectual and usually supporting the wrong side in most conflicts. Its attempts to save lives tend to get wrecked by its own corruption.
Edit Three: If you didn't misrepresent the facts in Congo you would realize what is happening there is not a Holocaust - there there is something similar to a Holocaust is in Dafur which the criminals involved are Muslims. Why don't you focus on your co-religionists for a change - they commit most of the murders in the world today.

In slow motion. I recently calculated the death toll in the Mideast from U.S.-stimulated or U.S. conducted wars since 1980 beginning with the war in Afghanistan, proceeding to the iran-Iraqi war (US financed Iraq; israel financed Iran - yes),and on from there. It came to 5 MILLION people dead. I call that a holocaust.
Trivialize the holocaust? You should talk. Jews have been trivializing the Holodomar for 70 years. That isn't surprizing. 7 million dead at the hands of Stalin's Himmler - Lazar Kaganovich,a good old-fashioned Russian jew. Funny how we never hear about that in the mass media.

Yes. Another Holocaust is taking place as we speak!!! And what a surprise that the world is silent (MikeRI - what is done is not enough).
That is why Israel is so important to the Jews. They can live where ever they want or if to put it bluntly, they can live in whatever country that will have them. But they know, deep down in their hearts that if the unthinkable will happen again to the Jews - they will have a safe haiven. Israel won't ask question and it will open its gates to all Jews even the ones that spoke ill of her. (I know that I speak of Israel as an entity, but it's just a figure of speech).
Yes, there is another Holocaust in the world as we speak. I believe that there will always will be places in the world that human beings are being treated badly. Because that's how humans are - power is corrupting and ultimate power........

We noticed the plight of the Congolese, the Darfurians, and other Africans. More importantly, they found us.
http://www.israelnewsagency.com/sudandarfurisraelrefugeeshumanitarianjews48072307.html
A very small community of Congolese refugees is now living in Israel. This is in addition to hundreds of other African refugees who have been seeking asylum here. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3413031,00.html
Some Israelis noticed long ago and are dedicated to alleviating suffering on the African continent. Current events there are indeed horrific. As this important topic was raised in the Israel section, here are a few relevant links.

Thanks HopelessZ00 for your post calling this to my attention.
I have looked through your links and will study the situation further.
It seems that the US zionist government is up to it's old tricks.

If you told the truth sometime, you might note that you would need to write far less.
esratz israel has a reputation that will make it extremely hard for you explain away it's war atrocities.
Heads UP
In May, the Sudanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samir al-Shaybani told a Syrian interviewer: "We can even say that these powers want to dismember Sudan and replace this government with another one that serves their strategic interests, represented in obliterating Sudan's Arab identity. Top among these powers is the Zionist lobby, which considered the Darfur issue primarily a Jewish issue requiring solidarity between the Jews and some African tribes, which claim to be in conflict with Arab tribes. The Darfur issue has thus been depicted within the framework of mass annihilation. The Zionist groups and US Administration played on this theory and dedicated huge resources and large media and diplomatic campaigns to promote this erroneous diagnosis of the conflict."

When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it - always.
