Hi

I'm a South African that's lived in the UK and am now one of the thousands making their way back to SA! So looking forward to it! Just one issue, and that is that we don't yet know where to settle, and cannot make up our minds. All the work seems to be in Joburg, but can one really live there? Is it not just another big city? Anyone know agencies in Pretoria maybe? And how's Durban and traffic? ok? And Richards Bay, is this an option?

Shall I marry him?
I met him at work a year ago, he is good looking , real man and most importantly we both have the same vision regarding many things like religion and so .. the problem is that he is paid 1/2 of what I am paid , my position is more senior than his...

Based on your experience , do you think this should be a problem after marriage ? How do you think other people at work will perceive that, should I even care for them??

All opinions are welcome , I really need an honest advice.

Thank you very much

I remember "Sannie se sewe sakke sout" getting me interested in studying Afrikaans, while the "Click Song'' got me interested in studying African languages. Mandoza's "Nkalakatha" made me become aware of the urban African lifestyle. "Hie kommie bokke" made me feel patriotic. I can go on forever. What South African music made YOU wanna dance?

The essence of the word unity is "to be in harmony" or "to be as one" and we, as South Africans, strive to be just that according to our constitution. But is it really possible to be united when we have a national anthem sung in so many different languages and 11 official languages? I'm a language practitioner and this is a very serious issue for me. Because even though I anticipate the true unity of South Africans, I dread the fact that I will lose my identity by accepting it. What are your thoughts on this language issue?

I was planning to go to Marrakesh at the end of March for a weekend with my sister and a girlfriend. We were going to buy a cheap flight and book an hotel there for a couple of nights. I have been told however that Marrakesh is a dangerous city for women travelling on their own and you should only go with a tour operator. Please advice! honestly! Thanks
