While waiting to deliver my baby in January, I'm planning to live in an apartment around Los Angeles area. What's a nice, safe area for a woman to live on her own for three months? It is Importamt to have easy access for walking around, daily shopping, food, restaurants. I will also have my own car

I would like to know where I can camp, for about 16 days with the wife and two kids. We are looking for scenic views, so around the Alps is kinda where we planned, (Switerland, Austria etc) but I'd also like some area where the kids wont be bored senseless. We like caves, panoramic views, climbing and walking (although not miles and miles!) Campsite address's and past experiance would be good (so I can add to TomTom and just get there!). After about 8/9 days around the alps we are driving back to Paris, agian recommendations of Campsites around the Paris area (not for disneyland) would be ace. We would like cheap and cheerfull, we dont go in for the whole tourist thing, we are more Lonley Planet people. And again, any address's for tomtom would be fantstic.
