I would like to know where I can camp, for about 16 days with the wife and two kids. We are looking for scenic views, so around the Alps is kinda where we planned, (Switerland, Austria etc) but I'd also like some area where the kids wont be bored senseless. We like caves, panoramic views, climbing and walking (although not miles and miles!) Campsite address's and past experiance would be good (so I can add to TomTom and just get there!). After about 8/9 days around the alps we are driving back to Paris, agian recommendations of Campsites around the Paris area (not for disneyland) would be ace. We would like cheap and cheerfull, we dont go in for the whole tourist thing, we are more Lonley Planet people. And again, any address's for tomtom would be fantstic.

Well, the Swiss automotive association TCS has own camping places which are very recommended (see link, including some other places) - and on the website of Switzerland tourism you should find a lot of information as well.

Why don't you just start somewhere or plan by streets only - within a one or two hours' drive you'll find a good camping place anywhere in Switzerland!

September may be the perfect time. you've were given 3 weeks then, the elements remains particularly good and warmth, value wise it doesn't make a lot distinction because it is nevertheless extreme season. concerning your daughter and education, i quite do not believe that taking an better 4 days from college will make a distinction to her. in reality, it ought to correctly improve her analyze as she will have an an entire damage. If she became in 365 days 12 can be a thoroughly distinct issue. I do imagine attempting to ascertain 4 international places is somewhat to a lot contained in the time you've accessible. engaged on 21 days, you'll pick to allow a minimum of three days to shuttle to and from Europe, then one finished day to shuttle between international places - and there is is going one week of your holiday journeys. you're left with 14 days to ascertain 4 international places - it truly is 3 a million/2 days in step with usa so all you're going to ascertain is per chance truly London, Paris, Rome or different Italian city, and a Swiss city, truly scratching the floor of the significant cities and seeing no longer some thing of the nation-state. i quite propose you concentration on 2 international places and see as a lot as you could. Get guidebooks out of your community library and workout habitual itineraries in protecting with what pastimes your household. As an Australian I do understand the flaws in vacationing to Europe, i quite dread that 24 hour airplane holiday! the first time I visited Europe, seven years in the past now, I took six weeks to shuttle round 4 international places and nevertheless did not see each and everything i had to ascertain. very last 365 days I spend yet another six weeks purely in France, and there are nevertheless many better places i pick to visit in that usa on my own. so that you quite pick to address your priorities. it is better to visit fewer international places and quite delight in what you're seeing and performance some large suggestions to look decrease back on, than to hurry and get lower than pressure with all that vacationing and little sightseeing.
