Hi, I both snowboard and wear glasses (hate contacts). Can someone recommend a cool brand/model of goggles that I should purchase? If you have any direct links to REI, that would be AWESOME. Thank you!

i found a really awesome pair of snowboarding pants that are nylon with a DWR coating. I know "water resistant" isn't as good as "waterproof," but would these be alright for general use? anybody ever used them before?

Is it something you do only when you notice scratches on its base and when you've noticed your board hasn't been performing as well as it should?

Also, how often to get it hot waxed?

I have a 160cm Burton Cruiser (Freeride) and I want to start learning more ground tricks i.e. nose press.

I figure 156cm might be my limit but I want to hear from someone else before I invest.

Any help much appreciated!!

I'm seriously thinking of buying a new Arbor Draft snowboard. They say it is a good board for park riders who use the whole mountain. I've been snowboarding for 9 years and i ride every where. parks, trees, powder, back country, groomed... Will this board work good for me?

I saw a product once in Poular Mechanics that was a snowboarding beanie made of a certain material that could withstand heavy impact. I was wodnering if anyone knew the brand and/or where I could find it.

So my bindings broke on the last trip last year, and im wondering what model i should get this for this season. I was interested in flows, but i've heard they don't hold up very well long term, is this true? Anyway, what bindings would you suggest?
Thanks!

My son has never even skied before. He says he wants a Burton because his friends say they are the best and not to waste money on the others. I just looked and Burtons are so expensive! I hate to buy him something so extravagant to find out he doesn't even like snowboarding! Does anyone have any suggestions for a good learner's board that won't break the bank and what else do I need to buy to go with it? Doesn't he need boots or can these be rented? I hate to discourage him from trying something new, but I also don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a passing fad. Please help!

Well, snowboarding season is coming up and I need a new board. I'm mainly a jibber, so I know what style I want, but I can decide the flex. Here in PA you never snow what kind of snow you will get. You could get powder, icy, slush, so I don't know what flex / stiff to get. Any suggestions?
