i have a snowboarding jacket with 15,000mm rating for waterproofing - it has mud stains and such on it, and normally i wouldnt really care but its a white jacket and is starting to look pretty crappy.

is there anything i can do to get out stains WITHOUT losing the waterproofing?

I have been so busy this winter season with trying to finish up high school and all that so I haven't been able to drive up to the mountains to shred. But i'm hoping to go on the 28th and 29th of March because Donner Ski ranch is having a 10 dollar lift ticket day. However i'm a bit concerned that there won't be any snow since we've been having super hot weather...like 80 degrees. ( i know it's insane) I'm in cali by the way. So anyone else in cali...do you know?

I want to hot wax my board, and I've done it before, but this question revolves around the type of wax. I've seen different types for different temperatures. My question is, why wouldn't you just use the coldest temperature wax you can find, and then be all set no matter where you ride? Are you going to slow down or something if the wax temperature doesn't match the snow temperature?

so i think im an intermediate rider. i take some diamond runs. ive only been boarding about five times. im about 170. 5'10". i would like an all around board leaning more towards the freestyle side. im a little low on cash so the closest to 100 bucks would be best. anything under 200 is good. (keep in mind im looking to buy the board during the end of season sales). please help me out. for style i would like a graffiti look to it..................which bring me to a new question are there brands that have a lot of gaffiti looking decks? fyi i think im set on the ride ex or delta bindings.

I have a pair of 06 burton freestyle's right now. they are a little big on me and im planning on getting some new bindings. Ive been looking at burtons line and I really dont know what i should get. im going to be doing 90% of my riding in the terrain park hitting boxes and butters, ive kinda been checking out the mission or the cartel, but im still open to suggestions. the only thing that kinda scares be about the cartel is the highback, its supposed to be the highest one in the burton line, is it too high? is the superstrap any nicer fitting than the luxstrap or is it just something to get you to spend more? what about the convertible toe strap VS the regular one? I was also checking out the Mission poncho villa version and it comes with the upgraded superstrap for your ankle and the super capstrap that is found on the P1's and C60's. the only thing is that the poncho villa model looks kinda cheap in the pictures, but it could be different when you see them. Any help is appreciated.

Hi all. I just broke one of the bindings on my board and need to get it fixed asap. Problem is they're Burton snap ins, which everyone tells me they don't make anymore. I'm trying to avoid having to buy both new bindings and boots. Anyone have any ideas where I can track some down?

I am looking at these snowboard / winter mitts, made by the glove company, Watson. They have a long 'gauntlet' type cuff, with a mitt end, instead of fingers. They are a bit unusual looking.

Thinking of going boarding over easter but unsure of good resorts, I have been to Chamonix and Verbier, Les Deux Alpes and Les Arcs.

Got any other good suggestions?

I've been snowboarding about 7 times this year and getting tired of always renting a new board. I went 2 weeks ago and rented a 152 Burton Blunt- I loved it. I was going off of jumps and 50/50 board sliding like nothing. Last week I had to get a mountain board and got stuck with a Atomic 155 Wide- I sucked all day and could not land a jump. So I've decided I need to buy a board but with so many options on the market I'm lost. I love the park, but I live in the Pacific Northwest and we got dumped on this year. I want a board that I can take in the park, and go off kickers, but will allow me to hit the mountain during pow days - These are the boards I've looked at

GNU Carbon High Beam 153 2006/07
Rome Crail 153 2006/07
Rome Graft 153 2006/2007

If any experts out there could point me in the right direction I'd be stoked.

I have always had a K2 board and have enjoyed it a lot. But I am now in the market for a new snowboard as my current board is way too short and way too narrow. I recently was talking to a guy at a sport shop and he recommended Burton over K2. He said the new Custom Wide that is coming out would be perfect for me. Any opinions on Burton over K2? Also, does anyone know when you can get your hands on this new Custom Wide? Recommendations for boot and binding packages? Money no object....

I have heard various opinions on this, and I would assume leaning forward on front foot takes the weight of back foot to allow steering (or changing edges)? Then others say steer with front? hmmm. I seem to go from heel to toe edge very easy, but toe back to heel is more tricky, almost having to twist violently.

I've heard it is extremely expenisive, and you need it to buy it for a minimum of a one whole ski slope... But how much does it really cost? Would I be able to buy, say, 10 sq. meters of it, or enough to make a complete rail/box?
