I've heard it is extremely expenisive, and you need it to buy it for a minimum of a one whole ski slope... But how much does it really cost? Would I be able to buy, say, 10 sq. meters of it, or enough to make a complete rail/box?

It costs about 30 pounds per square foot, about $45/sqft in the US. But, integral to the installation is the misting system. Just getting the surface probably wouldn't work well. It needs the misting system for its "slipperiness".

Snowflex was invented and is manufactured by a company called Brition engineering which are based in yorkshire england. You can buy as little or as much as you like as far as i know, check out www.snowflex.com for all the details.
