Snowboarding

Three winters ago, i went snowboarding for the first time and fell in love with the sport. Recently i heard that snowboarding is bad for the environment. Is this true? If so, how exactly is it bad?

the collar (the part that goes over the mouth) of my snowboard jacket smells really bad from being wet all the time, and possibily from my spit.

i tried febreeze, that just made it smell like febreeze + the wet smell.
I dont want to use detergent on the whole jacket cuz i remember you are not suppose to because it would cut ruin the waterproofing.
So i used detergent on just the collar then rinsed it, but the weird smell still lingers.

is there any natural stuff i can use? like lemon mixed with water or something..........

also, if anyone know how to get rid of the smell of wet snowboard boot liners, please let me know.

thanks!

I have a Burton Indie 158 and it feels really heavy when I try small jumps. How much does weight matter in snowboarding? I read somewhere that Burton boards tend to be heavier than most.

Hello there, I'm getting a Salomon Maiden SW and was wondering if 147 or 143 would be a better length for me. I'm about 5'3, 115 pounds, size 8 shoes. I'm also getting Medium Salomon Poison bindings and have Size 7 Burton Freestyle boots. I'm still pretty much a beginner, who needs to work on her toeside, but good on the heelside, and I rarely go to the park, usually just mountain runs. If you need additional details just ask. Thanks in advance!

There must be some kind of machine that shapes the transitions and arcs of the halfpipe. How do they get the snow to pile that high at the top of the ramp?

Is there anything similar I can do in the spring/summer? I can't really go snowboarding again(money issue) so can I do something related that would count somewhat as snowboarding? I can't do skateboarding-I already asked.

This is for my project...I have to get at least 7 more hours to complete my project product.

Does anyone think that these ae really worth the money they sell for $ 1,900 ( £1,100) which is double the price of most other top end boards. Im sure that they are very good but can any board really be worth that much?. People on this site often say Burton are too expensive but surely Palmer are worst then they are?.

I'm sure there isn't a ton of people who will answer this, but if you're ever in southeastern Idaho during the winter visit Pebble Creek. Extreamly difficult area.

Just hit my first rail Friday, and now I cna't stop. I've got a Sims Impulse board and some brand new Burton Cartel bindings. I'm coming into some money in a couple weeks, and was wanting some suggestions as to the best freestyle boards I could buy, especially for hitting rails.

I have the Burton Cartel's on my reg. board and I really like them and would like to find something with a toe cap... any suggestions?
