I need a size 15 at the least. I have not found them anywhere i go. they have to be kinda cheap since i would only go about once or twice a year. Custom boots is out of the picture. Also i would need a board that would fit too. I am 6'6" tall to give you a picture of the size of the board i would need.

I spend most of my time heel edging down the mountain and burn out my legs i know im expending too much energy for what should be an easy ride down the green. What am I doing wrong? Should I take a lesson? How do I get more control over the board so I dont feel the need to slow down using the heel slide technique?

i've skiied for 4 years and decided to start snowboarding. so i end up getting a one hour lesson. i ended up renting beginner equipment and did so well i got on a burton cruzer it was a 164 wide board. i linked turns and overall did well. i ended up snowboarding for a total of 6 hours. now i wear a size 15 boot maybe 14 depends on the boot. but the toe of it stuck out a good 2 inches from the board and the bindings were angled out to help a bit, im thinking of buying a board any suggestions. i was able to do greens w/ only a couple falls and some blues (thats beginner and intermediate trails). any suggestions? i dont want something so beginner that i will "outgrow", in terms of skill, the board and then have to buy another one. so looking into a beginner/intermediate all mountain board.

I have taken some lessons and learned rather fast. I am an intermediate boarder. I am looking for a very good board that is 200-250 dollars. It should be 154 cm. Thanks!

My brother and I are going up to Paoli Peaks to snowboard this weekend, and want to stay somewhere that isn't too expensive that also has a bar to have some beers and some food after a day on the slopes. Any advice?

I have a 146cm 5150 Vice, 2007 version. how flexible is it compared to other boards? it seems a little stiff to me. i could live, but manuals and other tricks put strain on my legs because i have to work harder to get it to work. also is there any way to make it a little more flexible?

Going snowboarding soon and I'm having a heck of a time finding a hat to fit my large melon-of-a-head. Today's beanies fit more like skull caps on me (barely cover the ears). I can't realistically run around and try hats all day so was wondering if anyone here had a suggestion. I did find a Coal XL but its a bit pricey. Thanks!

Ok. There is 1 store in the city I live in (oklahoma city) that sells boots (they had 12 different ones to look at).

Should I buy one of those 12 or wait until I go to the resort and buy them there? Will they have a wider variety?

On the burton Vapor (12.5 setback) you can't move the bindings back much so is this a pipe board or what exactly. What can you tell me about the vapor's riding character? Also is this measurement they are showing in millimeters? If you look at burton's website you can see that half the boards have a Stance Location Setback of approx. 25 and the others 12.5. Some are different but most are like this. It looks like the ones that are 25 are better for groomers and the ones that are around 12.5 are for park and pipe. Is that etched in stone??? The ones with the negative core profile seem to be for pipe also is that right???

right now i have a 5150 empress board, but its incredible stiff and i find it hard to get control over it at high speed and with carving (i am going to widen my stance) i might be getting a new board soon since i might be starting freestyle soon.

what are the pros and cons of a flexible board? can anyone give me a bit of help on what kind of board i would have to get.

I got a vapor 163w and the hole patterns are limmited on this board. When set in the reference stance hole patterns (which is to the rear, the bindings are still almost centered it appears. Not much nose and I don't ride switch or aany park trick stuff, just directional and mountain runs only.
Most boards are set back 25 mm back like on the burton custom. I think I made a mistake since centered stances are mostly for park and I only ride directional. What can I do? The hole patterns on this board only have 2 setting locations and it looks like the forward setting would make it less nose and more tail.

I am wondering what brand of snowboard is best for my money? Are Palmer, Burton, Ride, and K2 as good as they say they are?
