Im going to get a new pair of bindings soon, and i've narrowed it down to either the Ride Ex's or one of Flow's binding models. What are your opinions on these?
Do flows hold up ok? Which has better comfort/response?
Thanks!

I'm on the snowboard team at my highschool. I just started this year but I'm totally into it. So we go to a camp for like 4 days and snowboard each day. I had already planned to go on this other vacation so I am coming home and going straight to camp. all my stuff is with my dad and i really wanted to put these star studs on my board but they say to let dry for 24 hours and i won't have nearly that long. would it be that bad if i only waited about 10 hours??
Do you know of any ways to make it dry faster??
oh by the way i also have to remove my stomp pad
Is all this possible??

The jacket is flannel fabric with what I think is some type of nylon fabric on the lower part of the back to sit on and not get wet. It has the Burton name and states "established 1977" with a picture of a snowboarder with a classic board with the tail "v".

The bindings are flow nxt fs and the screw is one of the ones that connects the padded part of the highback to the lower section. The bindings have never been used (christmas present) and were only attatched to the board once (before I noticed). I got them from SportStop.com so ican't take them back to the shop. I live in belgium but got them shipped to the US when I was out there (dont have immediate plans to go back)

I was never really good with skateboards so should I stick to skiing instead? Snowboarding looks awesome though.

Hey All, Thanks for the help. I just bought a 159 Wide Burton Custom X, Im just a litle over 6'1 and weigh between 170-175. I like to ride all over, park, basic terrain, backcountry etc. Basically all mountain. I'm a little worried its a little short, however the next step up is a 164 Wide. The custom X is a pretty stiff board and I dont weigh alot, do you think I made the right choice? Would really appreciate the help. By the way, im riding it with Cartel bindings and burton Hal boots. Thanks

Its 2007 and its getting hotter every year. Do you think any time soon global warming will effect snowboarding and end the sport? Or will that be in years to come like 50 to 100? Or do you think its gonna end snowboarding in 10 to 20 years? Basicly do you think global warming will effect snowboarding that much to end it any time soon?

Hopefully you've given both a shot, but I'm going up to the snow in a couple of days, and I need to decide if I'll learn snowboarding, or stick to skiing...I don't know if they're anything alike, but I enjoyed surfing, so is snowboarding similar? Thanks for your input!

I have snowboarded a total of about 12 days on vacation but am soon going to college at Colorado @ Boulder and am planning to get my own board and snowboard frequently at the nearby Eldora Resort. I can complete fast skidded or linked J-turns with ease on greens and on some blues. How long would it take for me to fly down most runs and be able to tackle most of the jumps and rails at the terrain park? I am planning on boarding at least once a week and possibly more.

ok, in late january i'm going up north to go skiing/ snowboarding with my family and another family. i'm just learning to snowboard (i did it like 3 years ago and broke my wrists, and i've taken like 5 lessons since then) and i'm really bad at it, i've only been on the chairlift 2x and it didn't go very well. i can pretty much link turns, but that's about it. so i guess i want to know: how long will it take to be good enough to go down some easy chairlift hills, will i be able to do it in january? i'm on xmas break right now and i'm planning to board as much as i can. my friend that's going in Jan. is pretty good and i'll be hanging around with her like the whole time, she'll go down the easier hills, but she won't want to wait for me if i'm falling the whole time.

I am in the 8th grade and learned to ski in the 5th grade. I live in missouri and have been skiing in colorado once. This year i wanted to take up snowboarding because my dad and i want to travel to colorado and i thought it would be fun to try snowboarding....

so how long do you think it'll take to learn? i know everyone is different. if it helps, i took on skiing very quickly, to my surprise. keep in mind it'll be on more of ice than real snow. I don't think i'll have days to learn, if at most, half a day because we don't have passes and probably can't pay for additonal days.

also, aside from the boots and snowboard, is dressing any different than i would for skiing?

My snowboard is a Rossignol, and it is mainly red and cream with a bit of black and orangey-yellow. There is only one image in it, and that is on the back, it is of a rooster. XD Does anyone know what model it is? I think it must be an older one because it isn't listed on their website and I Can't find it ANYWHERE.

Aluminum wing tip on leading base edge of snowboard is starting to delaminate. The LTD board has only been used a few times and is in great condition so I don't want to get rid of it. Looks like a design defect, emailed LTD but they haven't responded. Does this happen often, and can it be repaired with epoxy and clamps?
