I was thinking about a custom burton or something. How much does it cost?

I would really suggest getting a season rental for your first season so that you can figure out what you like and what you don't. Its crazy to drop 500 - 700 on a board, bindings, boots and all the gear to ride before you know that you like it.

There are also learning specials at most resorts that include daily rentals - start there. I would try to keep the board around 164 even though technically you should have a longer board. Too long will make it difficult to learn. Also, you might ask for a wide board even if your shoe size doesn't require it.

Good Luck

I would reccomend getting the 172 burton custom wide. It goes for about 500. However there are plenty of boards out there just try and get something above 168cm
