I am going snowboarding for the first time and I don't know what to wear. I don't want to spend like 170 dollars for some snow pants right away. So whats the alternative? I have got a good jacket and hoodie but it is the pants that I seem to be screwed on. :(

You can usually find some medium priced snow pants (Columbia, Spyder, etc) for less than $100 - and you will be able to use them for many other activities. It you get uninsulated pants, you can wear other pants under them and use them for hiking or other sports.

When learning, you always spend a lot of time on your butt and I can't imagine doing that in wet jeans.

Good Luck

Yea if this is going to be the first time going snowboarding there is a possibilty you will be falling...

But if you cant find even a cheap pair of ski pants or even borrow a pair from a friend then i would consider wearing as many layers as possible!!! =P

Make sure you have some good winter gloves as well

Hope this helps =P

Windpants. Wear some other type of pants underneath too, like flannel pajama pants.
