so i think im an intermediate rider. i take some diamond runs. ive only been boarding about five times. im about 170. 5'10". i would like an all around board leaning more towards the freestyle side. im a little low on cash so the closest to 100 bucks would be best. anything under 200 is good. (keep in mind im looking to buy the board during the end of season sales). please help me out. for style i would like a graffiti look to it..................which bring me to a new question are there brands that have a lot of gaffiti looking decks? fyi i think im set on the ride ex or delta bindings.

Both the Burton Blunt and K2 www both have graffiti type graphics and are relatively cheap to buy, but they are very much considered freestyle/jib boards and although they can be used for freeriding they won't hold an edge that great at high speeds. Some of the Rome freestyle boards have graffiti ish graphics and are more suited for all mountain riding. The Rome solution is an excellent all mountain board on the freestyle side of things its more geared towards riding kickers and the pipe not so much for rail riding. The Rome Agent is another good board excellent for pipe riding, rails and kickers and a botter all rouned ride than say a Burton Blunt would be. Ive heard also that the Agent was the best selling board in the US last year, and for a company thats only five years old you know that , that board has to be exceptional. Both these two boards have the type of graphics you are looking for, other brands with crazy type graphics are Lib Tech,Ride and Apo.

I have the exact same height and weight as you, and picked up a K2 Fuse 155 this year and some Ride EX bindings as well. The Fuse is great and is good for freeride and some freestyle as well. It doesn't have the graffiti look to the board though. I think Rome and Ride have that kind of look, but you might want to look around. I got the K2 Fuse for $195 on sale, and they make a wide version too if you've got huge feet. You'll be hard pressed to get a board that's new for less than $170.

In any case, your riding style sounds about the same as mine, so I wanted to let you know what I have going on. I'm loving my bindings by the way. I wouldn't get anything over a 155 (or whatever happens to go in between your chin and lip if you plan on riding in the park. Too long of a board and you'll have a hard time spinning and landing tricks.

Good luck with the search.

A burton blunt has graffiti all over it. they're great boards for park too. thats what i ride. and during the end of the season sell they'll be under 200 bucks. but wat i suggest to you, even though it doesnt have graffiti, is a rome artifact. If i didnt buy a blunt, i would have bought one of those, and the next board i buy will definately be an artifact. as far as size goes, a 155 or 157 should be fine. if you're going to buy those bindings, dont get the blunt. burton boards have a different hole pattern in them, so you can only use burton bindings on a burton board.

overall 156 articact is the way to go

a lot of stores have really good summer sale on during july/august. I got my board ($315) for $150. Capita and Rome usually have some pretty nuts graphics. Browse around the sites, they usually have some pics and you can get a general idea.

a nitro freeride board sounds to your style.
boards are measured in centimeters, so probably go with a 160 or so.
sheck out ebay or your local ski shop sales for deals.
good luck and ride on
