i was wondering if it is a name brand snowboard and if it is a good snowboard to ride.

If it was me, I would go with a known brand. If you are looking at this brand to save money, look at last year's model and pre/post season clearances to save money on a top brand - Ride, K2, Rossi, Burton, etc.

Ride or Burton all the way. You can find some really cheap prices and great boards at used shops (just make sure it's in good shape). If you wanna go all out, Forum is a really good brand. Don't trust the sales peaople 100% on unknown brands becuase most likely the board is crap and they're just trying to get rid of it.
