Hi, I both snowboard and wear glasses (hate contacts). Can someone recommend a cool brand/model of goggles that I should purchase? If you have any direct links to REI, that would be AWESOME. Thank you!

My son has struggled with this for all 6 years that he has been snowboarding - the fogging, the fit, the problems are endless.

Last year I finally got tired of it - now that he is closer to full grown (14 now) - I got him a pair of precription goggles. They were from Pearle Vision and are very high quality Bolle goggles with snap in corrective lenses. Last season he used them 10+ times in all kinds of conditions and said that he had never been able to see so well with so few problems.

This is the only way to go - if you can afford them. They were about $250, but the prescription can be changed in the future and they are very nice.

The only funny part is he now has to wear his goggles at lunch because his glasses stay in the car!

Good Luck

Although you can buy yourself prescription inserts they tend to be expensive.

I have struggled with this issue for years and have, through trial and error, found the best answer is SPHERICAL LENSES!

Spherical lenses allow for a little more room between your face and the lens for your glasses. Some makes:

Smith Prodigy
Spy Soldier
Spy Bias (womans fit)
Zeal Dominator

Don't buy Over The Glasses (OTG) goggles because they take away a lot of your periferal vision.

Also take the advise of a wise old friend of mine "Goggles belong on your face or in their case" In other words, don't ever put them on your forehead. Your glasses will fog up so bad, you'll never get them cleared.

You could just wear your glasses under your goggles, but just be careful when you move the goggles, you don't scratch the inside.

Try the Knowledge OTG (over the glasses) model with the turbo fan. They will keep your goggles and glasses fog free. Below is the link to REI.
