With huge amounts of Russian and Eastern European tennis players coming through, several of them winning or else "destined" to win big tournaments and slams should there be a Russian or E.European slam?
After all there has to be a big tennis following in those countries, and if i can stereotype some of the residents of those countries may not be able to support thier home players in forign countries.
Especially also considering a depleted British following and a lack of exceptional tallent coming through in the countries whihc host the slams (especially Australia and France!) Is it time we add another one, another aspect!
And if so what surface would you choose. Clay? I guess not. And do we ant to see anymore slams on hard courts? So should be have another grass tournemtn? I guess in Russia no!
So should they be more adventurous? Should it be played indoors? On carpet (or rubber) surfaces, or else on a suspended court or even, maybe, on wood?
